When is enough, enough?

When does it become an abuse of children to force them to continue to see one parent against their wishes and in the context of eight years of litigation (with three final hearings and multiple other applications)?

The answer lies in a recent decision of Federal Magistrate Dunkley.

In a bitterly contested final hearing, the mother sought for all contact with the father to cease or that the only contact be supervised in a contact centre.  The father sought for the children to spend four nights a week with him and half school holidays.  The Independent Children's Lawyer supported the Father's application.

FM Dunkley painfully details the tumultous and bitter history between the parents and the unfortunate and negative affect this has had on two young boys, ages 12 and 10.
